How to Troubleshoot Stretched Screen Display Issue on Windows 10

The cause behind this stretched display issue can be either the wrong set of screen resolution.

Stretched Screen problem on Windows 10

1- Restore the Recommended Pixel Display
You need to right-click on your desktop and then click on the Display Settings from the context menu.
In the settings page go under the customize your display option and then move to Advanced display settings.
Navigate the Resolution option and make sure the pixel resolution is set to the recommended level.
If not, then first reset the resolution to the recommended value from the drop-down menu.
Please note- Any pixel resolution set to the value below 1260*768 will stretch the image causing distortion.

Click on the Ok option to confirm the setting changes, then restart your computer system.
If the issue persists again, then you need to update or uninstall your graphics driver to get a completely rid of this the issue.
2- Update the Graphics Card Driver
Here, update the graphics driver.
After that check, if the problem is not resolved.
If you get this issue again, then you need to uninstall the graphics card driver.
3- Uninstall the graphics card driver
To do this, you need to follow below-given steps:-

Open the Run window by pressing Windows key + R keys at the same time.
Type the program name devmgmt.msc and then click on the OK option.
Then click on the Display adapters and expand it.
After that, locate your graphics card in a suitable place and then right click on it.
Then click on the Uninstall device from the drop-down menu.
Check the option with Delete the driver software for this device and then click on the OK option.
At last, restart your computer system and then allow your system to reinstall the graphics driver.
